Privacy Policy

BestDid, LLC (“BestDid”, “we”, “us”) operates BD GEO Tracker. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have.

1. Data we collect

• License key + customer email. Provided when you purchase from getbdshield.com and sent to the Service each time you log in. Used to validate your subscription and tier limits.
• Brand, prompt, and competitor data you enter. Stored to drive your scheduled runs and reports.
• AI engine responses. The raw text and citations returned by ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews for the prompts you choose are cached and stored as historical snapshots.
• Audit log. Login attempts, runs triggered, reports generated, and email opens/clicks (for digests). Retained for security and abuse detection.
• Session cookie. A single signed cookie (bdgt_session) keeps you logged in. No third-party tracking cookies are set.

2. Sub-processors

We share the minimum data necessary with the following sub-processors to operate the Service:

• Railway, Inc. — application + Postgres hosting (US).
• Vercel, Inc. — web/edge hosting (US).
• Cloudflare, Inc. — R2 object storage for generated PDF reports.
• Resend — transactional and digest email delivery.
• Sentry — server-side error tracking. We strip PII before sending events; the customer email is never sent to Sentry.
• AI providers. Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (ChatGPT), Google (Gemini and Google AI Overviews via SerpAPI), Perplexity. We send the prompt text you authored; we do not share your license key or email.
• getbdshield.com (BestDid, LLC). Acts as the reseller and license server for subscription management.

3. How we use your data

• To operate the Service, including running scheduled prompt sweeps.
• To deliver weekly digest emails (you can unsubscribe at any time).
• To authenticate you and enforce per-tier usage limits.
• To detect abuse and protect the Service from fraud.
• To respond to support requests.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We do not use your brand or prompt content to train AI models.

4. Data retention

Brand, prompt, run, and snapshot data are retained for the life of your subscription so you can see historical trends. You can delete any brand at any time, which removes its prompts, runs, snapshots, and generated reports. The audit log is retained for 12 months for security purposes. Email-delivery logs are retained for 90 days.

5. Cookies

The Service uses exactly one first-party cookie, bdgt_session, which is signed and HTTP-only and is used solely to keep you logged in. We do not set advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct or update inaccurate data.
• Delete your data (subject to legal-retention obligations).
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

7. Security

All traffic to the Service is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+). Passwords are not stored; authentication uses license keys validated against a separate license server. Database backups are encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to BestDid staff via multi-factor authentication.

8. Children

The Service is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws from your country of residence.

10. Changes to this policy

Material changes to this Privacy Policy will be announced via email and posted here with a new effective date.
