BD GEO Tracker documentation
Track how often ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity mention your brand — and what they say when they do.
This is the product manual. If you're new, start with Getting started. If you're stuck, jump to Troubleshooting or the FAQ.
What BD GEO Tracker does
You add a brand. You write prompts that match real questions your customers ask. The scheduler runs those prompts against four AI engines on a cadence set by your tier. The dashboard shows you, per prompt:
- Whether you were mentioned
- Where you ranked in the answer
- Whether the mention was a recommendation or a passing reference
- Which URLs the engine cited as sources
- How your share-of-voice compares to named competitors
Snapshots build up over time. Trends show up. A weekly digest lands in your inbox Monday morning. You export PDFs when you need to show the data to a client or a board.
That's the whole product. No dashboards-for-the-sake-of-dashboards. No "AI-powered insights" copy on top of the real numbers. The numbers are the product.
Quick start (5 minutes to first snapshot)
- Buy a license at getbdshield.com/product/bd-geo-tracker. Pick Starter, Growth, or Agency.
- Check your email for the license key. Format:
BDSH-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. - Go to app.bdgeotracker.com/login. Paste the key. You're in.
- Click New brand. Enter your brand name and domain. Add 1-3 competitors if you want share-of-voice numbers.
- Click Add prompt. Write one question your customers actually ask. Not "best [your brand]" — something like "best CRM for a small B2B sales team."
- Click Run now. Wait 15-60 seconds. Your first snapshot finalizes.
You now know how often four AI engines mention you for that question. Repeat for more prompts. Wait a week. Patterns emerge.
For deeper guidance on prompt quality, read Writing good prompts — it's the difference between data you can act on and noise.

Tier limits at a glance
| Tier | Price | Brands | Prompts | Refresh | Reports |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $19/mo | 1 | 3 | Weekly (Mondays UTC) | Dashboard + weekly digest |
| Growth | $59/mo | 3 | 15 | Daily | Dashboard + weekly digest |
| Agency | $179/mo | 5 | 50 | Daily | Above + white-label PDF + priority support |
Annual billing is 10× the monthly rate — you save two months. Every tier has a 14-day money-back guarantee. You can cancel anytime from your getbdshield.com account.
For why these limits exist, read Cadence and cost. Short version: each prompt costs us roughly $0.10 to run across four engines. Daily refresh on Starter would mean losing money on every customer, so we don't offer it.

A note on what this tool isn't
BD GEO Tracker tracks AI search visibility. It doesn't track Google SERPs (use Ahrefs or Semrush for that). It doesn't audit your site for AI-readability (different tool category). It doesn't write content for you (we sell BD Auto Blog separately for that).
What it does, it does honestly: it asks the engines real questions, records the answers, and shows you the trends. The rest is up to you.
